Payment Policy

Deposits and securing your cake

A non refundable deposit is required to reserve your order. The remainder is due 30 days prior to the event. An invoice or email will be sent out to you.

Your order is not confirmed until we receive your non refundable deposit or full payment and constitutes confirmation of order.

Cakes required at short notice must be paid for in full at the time of booking.

Payments can be made by cash, standing order, bank transfer, debit card or PayPal.

For bespoke cakes over the value up to the value of £100 must be paid in full upon confirmation of order, for cake up to the value of £150.00 we accept a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking of your cake choice order. For cakes up to the value of £500. we would require a 40% non refundable deposit and for cake over £500 we would require a 40% non refundable deposit. The balance for your cake must be paid by at least 30 days before your cake is required. Cakes required at short notice must be paid for in full at the time of booking.

Sample boxes costs £30.00, but £17.00 of this will be redeemed against your confirmed order.

The Cake & Dietary requirements

Cakes of all types are made in a general use kitchen. Every effort is made to ensure the interiority of products used, especially for ‘Free From Cakes’ to avoid known allergens and contamination from other products.

All dietary needs, allergies and flavour requirements must be made known at the time of ordering. Confirmation of dietary needs, allergies and flavours must be confirmed 60 days before order is required. Whilst we cannot guarantee a nut, gluten, dairy, egg free environment when making our cakes, every effort is made to avoid these ingredients and any other ingredients that maybe problematic for consumption.

Cancellation

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of placing your order for a bespoke cake for a full refund of your deposit. After this, we reserve the right to retain the deposit. If the order is cancelled in under 30 days before the due date we retain 100% of the price. There is no refund for short notice orders or orders required within 31 days of your event and 14 days cancellation period is not applicable.

If your event is postponed, it is your responsibility to let us know as soon as possible and we will try to accommodate your request, however please be aware that a date change may conflict with other bookings and may incur an additional cost to be accommodated. Therefore if a date change may not be possible and we would try to avoid this, but should this be the case and ultimately lead to a cancellation.

It is your responsibility to advise us of any alterations to the original order. We reserve the right to increase a quoted fee in the event that the Customer requests a variation to the work agreed. Whilst every effort will be made to assist Customers, please note that late changes cannot always be guaranteed.

Force Majeure

A Party shall not be deemed in default of this Agreement, nor shall it hold the other Party responsible for, any cessation, interruption or delay in the performance of its obligations (excluding payment obligations) due to earthquake, flood, fire, storm, snow, natural disaster, act of God, war, terrorism, armed conflict, labour strike, lockout, boycott or other similar events beyond the reasonable control of the Party, provided that the Party relying upon this provision:

gives prompt written notice thereof, and

takes all steps reasonably necessary to mitigate the effects of the force majeure event.

If a force majeure event extends for a period in excess of 30 days in the aggregate, either Party may immediately terminate this Agreement upon written notice.

Delivery and setting up

There is an additional fee for delivery and setting up, if this is requested or required. Within the M25 there is a delivery and set up charge of £65.00. Outside of the M25, there is an additional charge of 55p per kilometre. There is a hire fee and deposit for cake stands and accessories which will be refunded upon return, up to 14 days after event. These charges would be included in the original quote. Pick up by customer and instructions are free of charge. Upon delivery or pickup there will be a delivery form requiring a received signature, a satisfaction form and details of edibles and in-edibles on cake and how to store and cut your cake.

Risk of cake

Risk of cake care is passed when the cake is collected the risk of damage passed upon receipt of cake.

Advised to take out a cake insurance for expensive cake orders.
